BWA HAHA! This is Raphael when he was little, not so beefy, and not so brain washed! Yes, This is him when he was also rich, and before he went insane from being stranded on an island! *cries* Poor, cute scrawny Raffy! :hug:

I'm very impressed with how this came out. At first I was hating the shading on the skin (as always) but now I love it! Everything turned out so nice! When I had finished coloring Raphael, I had a brain fart on trying to figure out what background I was going to have. Actually, I was going to stay away from the cursed green background I always do, but for some reason green was calling out to me and all of a sudden those little boxes appeared! So I had to do that background! You can kill me now for the greeness of it all. My eyes are bleeding green, SO MUCH GREEN! Oh well, I think the green brings Raphael forward, makes his hair and eyes stand out really well! :D BWA! I am so happy!

Btw, I really don't think he went insane, I just like thinking he did. I mean seriously, what person stranded on an island for many years wouldn't go insane?! Oh well, I loves him, well not as much as my sis, ~Glitchness , but he's cool and needs more art anywyas!

Making the shading is one of the most difficult things in painting. I've my problems with it, too. But as you say you did a good job anyway. ^^

Lol shading is pretty hard, but i think the more i do it, either the better i get at it or the more i like it, don't know which. But it would probably look smoother if i used more blending with blenders, but i honestly don't know where to get those for colored pencils, but oh well! I'm learning :D

Ah, I completely adore your picture! ^^ It's so incredibly difficult to come by Raphael fan art (particularly of him as a child)--and I think you've captured him wonderfully! I love the background, by the way; it gives such a unique feeling to rest of the picture.

Anyway, I nearly fall over myself when I see such awesome Raphael artwork--I am so going to fav this now! ^_^

Thank you so so much for your nice and wonderful comment on Raphael. And i know how hard it is to find Raphael fanart, so that's why I did it. There needed to be more :D.
